The Enterprise Gateway is part of Overcast for NetSuite, a jointly developed product from NEC and Vigience.

The Overcast Solution provides the secure and scalable connection between the “ground”, i.e. on premise ERP and the “cloud”, i.e. NetSuite cloud ERP. Overcast enables customers to efficiently implement a 2-Tier ERP deployment strategy. This is sometimes referred to as a hub-and-spoke model. In a 2-Tier deployment companies rely on a single central ERP instance, but use different systems for their subsidiaries to save money and reduce implementation costs. With the emergence of Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud-based systems are increasingly used in this 2-Tier approach – such as the NetSuite solution.
